In the Phil's in this sort of situation does he get buried or recycled?

I am very philosophical about farm animal death. If you can't deal with animal death, then farming is not for you.

That is true. My father always used to say "where you have livestock, you have deadstock." That wasn't to say that he didn't care for the animals or do all he could to look after them. Sometimes animals just die and you have to deal with it and move on.

Aw man, that sucks about Caprino! Sounds similar to what cats get... used to have a cat with chronic bladder stones. He only could eat a medicated diet and he still died young. Maybe better this way, would be bad if it was genetic and he passed it on to all future kids.

Sucks to be out of the money, but like you said... atleast he tasted good.

i bought some ammonium chloride today for the other goats.

We have our first official CocoBeachPoultry born purebred chicks

BBS Orp chicks hatched withe the Jan 31 set today. They are my most plentiful hens and they are giving us lots of eggs - about 40 are in the bator.
