Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Feeling a lot like Oz must feel with all his running around. At page 474 (now) of 671... It's 2:30 am and I have to get up in 3 hours to go to work. The story is mesmerizing... I've covered about a year in the life of Oz over a 2 day period...  :caf   better than any TV soap opera for sure :thumbsup :pop But I am no longer as young as I used to be either and no longer do well on less than 3 hours of sleep a night, so off to the Z locker for me. Will have to attempt to get caught up to the present tomorrow after work.

Apt name given your post. You can change out to "caught up" one you are actually caught up.

Sorry the children added a few extra pages of scribble lol. It's all in fun. There are a great bunch of people here.

Bernie spent half his last day buying a new tire for his bike and the rest finalizing his move out. The three of them will ride off on the motorbike with a school size back pack with their possessions. Bernie will take whatever else they own in increments.

Mrs Oz will go to Kabankalan tomorrow for two cubic meters of free compost and get some bamboo matting to make the grow out pens.

In the afternoon she will head back to Bacolod to farewell her uncle who brought over the impromptu egg shipment.

Must be freeing to be able to put all your belongings in one backpack. I have more when we go away for the weekend. Its all the "for in case of emergency" that fill the 'cases

Is it Wednesday yet?

My wife and I put needed stuff in a backpack and hiked from Georgia to Maine (USA), the adventure took almost seven months. We will never be able to look at life and needs the same way again. I read this diary with that point of view, truly takes me back to my simple life of food, water, and shelter.....grocery, laundry, post office....repeat each week

The thread will continue as is. Even though it's long, the start of this adventure is the best part and creating a new one will lose the anticipation of success and the heart ripping failure we experienced on the way.

If the thread is not added to, it will fade into Oblivion
Every journey we make is a story with pain & gain, sorrow & joy, failure & success, tears & laughter, & eventually the best learning process through experience. If this thread is compiled into a book, generations to come will have something to refer regarding chicken raising, other fowls & animals, & enjoy the craziness of feathered friends.
