** eggs within packaging sustained visible damage in transit

The mind boggles are those set figures!

Pigletts Orp's are rocking it!
those are set figures following any broken eggs removed - the anticipated just helps me space manage

sallys eggs got beat up by usps as did hangtown farms. Phages eggs were beat up in my travels

the damage to a box strongly correlates to egg viability even if eggs look intact

Quote: Well seriously I am upset! lesson learned say no more, double boxing works but making sure they inner boxes are far enough away from the outer box! Let me know when you go again, only a doz in a box next time! its well worth the extra cost to ship in two!

Do you think the air flight has alot of effect on them as well?

it does for sure but most of that is handling as well

The drama continues

Bernie showed up out of the blue yesterday requesting his share of the yet unsold copra money.

He decided to take a job in Batangas on Luzon to support his wife while she is at school.

He leaves Wednesday from his hometown and wont be returning.

While he needs to look after his famlyl, it has really screwed me as the transition plan would have been bery different if we new he was not coming back. There were many tasks left that he is the only one with knowlege of. Some of that was precice locations of the grow out/free range 20 x 100 pens

Aljay is stepping up.

He is being forced to speak English with me which will help his school. His reports are getting better as he learns what I want. Dominic is older and more mature. He gets what Mrs Oz wants.

The guys did the candling - a difficult task considering the sheer numbers of groups and breeds. The report was very clear.

I quail are slow to build up but hoping the egg laying increases to twenty a day this week and thirty a day the next

The tankal will be ready for the pigs in about a week and a half. The pinoy way is to build the walls first and then go back and concrete the floor. Saturday morning should see the final hollow blocks laid and the fill started to bring the base of the floor up to 4" below the top of the floor. Then on Monday and Tuesday they will be laying the reo bar. On Wednesday - Friday mixing and pouring concrete and Saturday stuccoing.

Early the following week the septic will be connected as well as underground electricity.

Once its completed the second phase will commence - a 24 x 24 area with 3 additional grow pens the boar pen and service area. A month from now we will take a major break from construction.

That's really kind of lousy of him, I am sure he knows he puts you in a bind like that. And requesting money from something that's not sold yet... seems... tacky. I understand he has needs and family comes first, but after all the oportunities y'all have given him, it seems rather ungrateful.

Glad to hear the others are stepping up.. hopefully they will learn a valuable lesson: Coco beach is an oportunity best not taken lightly. Speaking English is a huge benefit.. the things they're learning are invaluable. Not to mention having a roof over your head, food in your belly and a solid income, without having to resort to working sweatshop type situations.

I really think there will be a day Bernie will have some serious regrets leaving..
