Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Good evening western hemisphere people.

Sunday is off day.

The nannies left at 6 am for their homes, while Dominic just feeds the animals. Ging is very pregnant. The deal is she will work when we are here and take time off when we are away but as of today she is just doing very light work.

We will be preparing our own food for the day. I will cook a pasta dish for lunch and maybe a curry for dinner. I love to cook so its fun to have the kitchen to myself.

I may even get the bread maker out and make a few loaves of Italian style crusty bread.

I've only lost a few dozen or so to my 3 kids learning how to play egg collector. Still lose a few here and there, the last being in my front blue jeans pocket with my cell phone and keys

there is a old German guy down the street from my inlaws who build a wood fired oven outside his house

i can hold my own in the baking dept. so at some point i plan to build one over there too

Happy Sunday girls and boys!

Our Sunday is almost over. Tomorrow is the first day of the School year for private schools in the Philippines so the kids are on the bus at 4am to get to bacolod. It's OK as they will sleep all the way.

I did very little in the way of work today. I just played dad. I washed dishes and cooked dinner. Quite the domesticate.

I did manage to review the feed mixing with Dominic and Wysan. I wanted to make sure they measured everything and not guesstimate.

Tomorrow I will be back at the salt mine. I have a few chickens to sort and get ready to ship to Luzon.

Coconut shells make awesome wood for an outside wood oven.

I was thinking about shipping a balilkbayan box full of oven bricks for the base. Lol.

Maybe I should just hunt for them here
while your at it add in a 250 lb anvil :)

i'll send a good used Honda along with a carb rebuild kit just in case it's needed

i have seen used ones for less than 200 bucks that used to drive a pump on craigslist

I have 2x 50lb salt blocks from the USA in my next box. They are over $55 each here.

Monday is over. We completed a good portion of the grow-out coop. It's 10x15 so it will handle 75 teenagers.

It should be finished tomorrow.

My ad on the olx.com.ph website had yielded several inquiries. I even had a guy wanting to buy six Polish chicks at $14 per chick today. Too bad I don't have enough to sell.

Good night y'all

Not yet but at least you know that you have probably the only source so he'll be waiting.
