The pig pens are complete. Its time for some new coops.

Monday is a public holiday. Tuesday we will start on 5 coops that will be raised 8x12 with a run 24x8 including under the coops. They should hold 18-20 hens and 3-4 roosters each. These will be for our main breeders.

Once they are complete we will take down a grow out pen and build 4 more coops 8x8 with 20x8 runs for 12 hens and 2 roos.

Our new carpenter has proven to be very efficient.

I may end up with a new Nubian buck on Sunday. I am in negotiations with a supplier now. This weekend is founders day for the school my wife went to. I booked 2 room (one for Mrs oz and myself and the other for the nannies and kids on Saturday night at a resort close to Dumaguete and just 5 km from the Goatery. It seems a shame not to get a buck while I am there. A purebred Nubian is 15000 pesos $340. I have seven does and doelings for him to service this year.

If we get the buck then I will subdivide the goats yard and add a new small goat house for the new guy first.
