Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

I see the unwanted guest is still tracking west and forcast to shift to northwest, and down to a mere cat 3 now.
Edit to add, I like what Google has done with the public storm warning pop-up without even asking for it.
map shows Oras getting hit dead center by the forcast, I hope this time people will/can get out of the way!

2:10 am and we just lost power.

no rain yet which surprises me. the wind is a solid 30 miles an hour from the east.

I hear some GI sheet flapping but I would guess it's the pieces covering the copra. I am not risking having my head removed by flying tin to prove my theory.

we still have around ten hours till the climax.

Nice choice in words!
Stay safe and keep the humor flowing.

lol Scott

the choice of words was innocent but given the minds here, quite apt in both contexts.

it looks like Samar is really getting walloped. they are like a first baseman's mitt when it comes to catching typhoons. the other spot is Cagayan in northern Luzon. it's curved just right to pick up storms that seeing north earlier.

we are lucky with our location. so few typhoons wander past us close enough to be scary.
