when my internet is sporadic, I get connection error messages when I try to post.

opera mini is a very "thin" browser that let's me more browsing.

when I get an error message uploading a post I hit the try again button. how much data goes up line before it errors out determines if the post was successful so I could be tapping away on the retry button unaware that the post was in fact successful.

Did your new nannie return from evacuation? Do you offer them on site housing or are they local residents who are able to commute? The storm may drag the rain up across you for a while now that it has moved north and west of your position. I think it was still moving slowly.

the housekeeper returned yesterday morning.

people were on edge because of what happened with Yolanda. local government officials did the right thing in over reacting because it's better than risking life with the bravado that was present just prior to Yolanda.

the housekeeper/gardener couple have a two bedroom house on site. we are also building them a new house one the fence is complete.

Bernie has a room off the incubator/egg house with a bathroom.

The construction guys are day laborers but one commutes 20km so will often spend the night. he was sleeping in the playhouse when we weren't here until we put a stop to it. Bernie has bunks. I think he is now sleeping in there. if not then next door with Bernie's brother who is the caretaker next door.

Better they overreact to get people out of harms way. It will save lives and the emergency resources won't be spread to the limit. People can then come back clean up and get on with their lives.
