My employer here in the USA gives profit sharing. The stock holders got the first $? dollars then the employees got 10% of everything after that. The profit sharing was not paid to the employee that quit if he/she quit before ten years. If the employee quit before ten years then their saved profit sharing amount went to all the remaining employees. I hope my explanation make sense. I don't know if it would work for Coco.

5%...2.5%...2.5% looks like a great idea
 
Dodong and Ariel seem like a decent combination.

We adjusted the bonus on animal sales with Dodongs Job Description

As a productivity and retention incentive, the employee will a bonus based on animal sales. The Bonus will be paid as follows:
  • 5% of the sale price (sale price less delivery) will be paid with the following pay check after sale
  • 2.5% of the sale price (sale price less delivery) will be accumulated and paid on the first pay check in July provided that employee is gainfully employed with employer
  • 2.5% of the sale price (sale price less delivery) will be paid on the last pay check in December provided that employee is gainfully employed with employer

Having the carrot of bonuses paid in 3 increments may discourage sudden disappearances
OZ, morning...... think about shifting the bonus to the "NEXT" 6 month period..... or else they may all quit in December with no bonus overlapping the following year...
 
The guys seem to be working well together.
I have a good feeling about this.

Families that care about their family are usually solid, and if there is more than one of them, it puts the others in a bad position if one just quits or does something dumb.

These guys seem to have their priorities right.


In a way I do not think Bernie was a villain. He was being manipulated by his wife who was never happy about the whole farm thing.

Without her I would probably have been just fine. But he was married with a kid, and had commitments and he had to honor them.

I agree in part but he knew he wasnt coming back for atleast a few days before he left

Everybody has to do the right thing by their family but you dont shaft people along the way

You are right. He should have let you guys know that he was going. He took the easy way out when he knew it would leave the farm in disarray without warning. I still feel that he liked being at the farm and would have stayed had it been his choice.

The only danger of families is the all in - all out phenomenon.

These guys are certianly getting full points for initiative and work quality.

I have some sales that dodong will get bonuses from next pay check which is great.
