I put an post in the facebook page to trade chickens for a buck. I got a hit, We are getting a F3 (88%) Saanen buck for an exchange with some orps!!

He is just 6 months of age but will be ready when the girls are

We both agreed on fair market value - the advertised price of both.

I am just happy its cashless. I dont have to sell the birds to somebody else and then in turn pay out- thats worth a few dollars on its own. Plus I am getting something I perceive to cost a certain ammount for the cost I incur on my producing my birds. For me its a bargain.

I think you'd have to add some black skinned birds to your arsenal for China though, they love their black chicken.

Well, I finally got to the end, kind of sad now, I know the thread is still going, but now I don't have "Oz on tap", I will have to wait for the new stuff with everyone else... on the other hand, I can finally comment and not look like a dork commenting a year behind times.

The easiest country to import live animals from is Australia.

This is because they are the hardest country to ship live animals to.

Because of the fact they dont have land borders, they have managed to keep most nasty diseases out. Only stuff bought in by migrating birds and sick ones generally die on the way

If you decide to do this, Oz, let me know. The best Silver Campines in the world are in Australia!
