Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

i towed an MG Midget from LA to Baltimore using a Dstsun 280Z

It pulled it just fine but handled like a boat.
tow bar or trailer?

i once flat towed my 74 ford bronco 450 miles with a little nissan pickup

but that was when i was young & stupid

It sounds like things are really beginning to take off for you! I am almost done hatching for myself at the moment, will do a few more hatches to fill some standing orders then done until fall. I just don't have the time, space and money to feed any more. Even at that most of this years males in all breeds will go to the freezer at about 3=4 months to save space and feed.

On the topic of hatching, I have given in to my little black silkie. Everyday for weeks I fight her off of the nest to get my eggs. She always picks the big girls eggs to sit on too. I moved her to an end nest that never gets used and put three silkie eggs in it. She rolled them up under her and settled in. I figured its easier than fighting with her. I really don't need more silkies but I figure they'll be easy to give away.

Make sure she's eating. If she's been trying to go broody for weeks, she probably has been a bit lazy with the eating. I just lost a broody due to malnutrition.
should I put food in the nesting box with her? I've only had one other bird go broody and she gave up after 3 days.

March 1 signals the start of our hot dry season. We (in black circle) are a type 1 climate

The winds have shifted from a Northen direction to North-West, The change in angle reduced the salt impact significantly.

The last two months have been a constant assult with salt beating up our plants and yard.- along with anything that can corrode.

Add to that, very little rain since the pre-Christmas typhoons and it makes for scortched yellow grasses.

Now it gets hot. Fortunately we don't get as hot as the Southern US states but it still can be pretty stifling when our wind dies down. Temps generally peak at 88-91F

the chart is Manila. We are at 9.9 degrees North so we are a few degrees cooler in summer and warmer in winter
