Too bad Mozza didn't perk up. If your main theory is still the AI, do you have any idea what went wrong during the insemination, or do you think the sample was tainted to begin with? Learning from what went wrong always makes a death feel a little less unnecessary.

So sad but at least the crew you have is excellent and do their best with so many animals to manage.

Hopefully these trials will not cause any of them to quit.

I'm sorry about Mozza,Vincent will probably be kicking himself for leaving her. Is getting a river type one still in the game plan? I believe you were going to sell Mozza and use the money to partially pay for the River Type cow?

The only things that makes sense to me septicemia from an infection introduced by AI. An otherwise perfectly healthy animal that drops to the ground around a week after procedure with a fever, rigors, intermittent mild epistaxis.

What went wrong? - poor hygiene on behalf of the tech.

The events will be discussed with the program leader today.

What could have done? - prophylactic antibiotics. Something I don't routinely do. Have staff ensure the tech follows best practices with hygiene
