Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

That is the exact way I would feel.  No one can ever replace of explain the true feeling of love that a close family shares.  It makes everything, no matter what, worth it.  We have a very united and loving family here as has been shown since my wife's father passed away last night.  And an even sadder note is that his youngest grandson was born at the same time of his passing.  Peace, happiness, and love to all families.

Sorry for your loss my friend.

Incubator chassis is built.

I have new egg trays coming from china. They hold 88 eggs each.

4 per shelf and 5 shelves. That's 1780 eggs if fully loaded and single stacked.

I have 50 trays coming so we should be able to build a second one if we need to

This is the big egg I mention some days ago. Did not get to post it sooner. Been kind of hectic around
here with the passing of my wife's father.

It's a really biggun ain't it. I'm not sure if this was a traumatic experience for the young lady or not. Because
she hasn't laid another one since laying this little one. About 6 days now I think. Or maybe she figured that
she did what a hen was suppose to do and gone into early retirement.
