Well here is an up date the roos are 4 months old and here is the one I picked out for the project

I am saving eggs now to go in the incubator on Monday or Tues, from Kathyinmo stock. I am hoping for a good hatch of course, the week after I am adding Icelandic eggs, and will be getting Iowa Blue and Chantecler eggs in June. Lots more pens to build, and soon !

So I did a test batch of my Black barred F1 male X new Hampshire females and out of 12 eggs I have gotten 5 yellow and 5 black/brownish chicks I only keep the yellow ones correct?

What is brassiness

A reddish/brown tinge. I wouldnt cull any on color until after the molt. You can be very surprised at what they are.
