It is an infra-red model, no flash to scare the animal...

takes tons of pictures and the battery seemingly lasts forever...

I'm about 500+ pictures in and still at 90% power for 2 months...

I love it and would recommend highly...

I use electrical putty to replace the cheap rubber gasket to insure it stays waterproof....
