Giant Buff Cochin Rooster w/ Barring?

We have a Giant Buff Cochin w/ barring....is this a desired color/pattern? We bought this bird from a lady who often shows her birds. The other 4 birds we got from her doesn't have these stripes, but we got them all as chicks.
