Giant egg!

How many do you have in your flock

Only four right now, so not really a flock, I guess. :gig
I would like to get more eventually, but I need a bigger coop, and to find a better place in the yard. Since it is mostly sloping, we will have to bring in dirt to level the ground before building. Right now, we have a small coop in a grove of trees near the house.

I don’t know how much of a slope you have but we build ours there was Almost a 2 foot difference between the front and back of the coop. We leveled everything out with block and brick. I like having the coop somewhat elevated anyway. The airflow helps keep it warmer in the winter. And four is definitely a flock

Plus I’d rather level it up with block or wood. There’s something about having to pay for dirt that just eats me up. LOL

That is a good idea. We have a pretty good slope. I

Yeah, I don't want to buy dirt either. We have mostly clay here, and sandy mixed in. My husband has talked about just renting some equipment and moving soil from one area to another. He is debating leveling out a different area to build a workshop/shed for the tractor and lawnmower. Then it would work out well.

Just looked at your profile and realized you’re in Virginia too Nothing but good old red Virginia clay. It’s a bear to work with.
