The egg on the left is a grocery store extra large egg. The egg on the right was laid by my white leghorn!

Looks about normal. Since most leghorn layers never make it past 18 months old, the eggs bought in the stores never get to the natural potential size a Leghorn can lay. My leghorn girls are laying much larger than XXLG and even Jumbo.

I've wanted some Leghorns for a while now but I don't have any currently. That egg looks much bigger than what any of my hens can produce! Sometime maybe I'll get those giant egg producers.

For as small framed and light as leghorns are, you won't find any other chicken to lay as many per year or as large an egg for the amount of feed as a Leghorn.
Leghorn girls are the "Laying Machines"!
:wee
