Giant Eggs

One of our GSL lays huge/double yolk eggs daily. Daily!

I have one Golden Laced Wyandotte who has laid huge double yolkers twice, out of maybe 15 days of laying. She seems just fine and it's such a treat to find them! Her huge eggs seem to follow a day off.

There is a famous breakfast joint here in downtown Chicago that only serves double youlk eggs. I never thought about it before I found my first one.

Keeping an eye out here to see if I learn something... Thanks for the question!

She will be 21 weeks this Friday and has been laying for several weeks now. I wonder what that restaraunt pays for double yolks! That's great!

Younger hens tend to lay double yolks. All of my youngsters say double yolks.
