Giblet gravy - miss prissy, or anyone.

Being out here with no family I would KILL to have a dozen folks to fill up my home with laughter and joy. I have decided Im not even cooking this year. Too much rigamorole for 2 people.

I hadn't thought of using vegetable puree to thinken the giblet gravy either.

What a good tip! Thanks!

We all need to go to your place for Thanksgiving!

Miss Prissy, every time you talk about your cooking I am just like...

How did you learn to be such a good cook? Family recipes? Practice?

As a very small child I was at my grandmother's knee. I sat on her counter and watched her cook for so many years of my childhood.

My mother is an excellent cook and she was more apt to let us cook sometimes.

Then when I moved out on my own and wanted something i would call my grandma and she would walk me through it on the phone.

After that it was trail and error.

Cooking 2 - 3 meals a day for over 20 years you learn a few things.

If you want to learn to cook get in there and do it. With the internet and youtube and food shows you can 'see' how things should go and look every step of the way.
