Hi I'm Mel
My husband and I rent 8 acres in Massey, Auckland, New Zealand.
We have loads of chickens and roosters (free range mums keep coming home with babies!)
My husband started us off with getting hens but despite loving having them around is unable to eat eggs!
We also have sheep, cows, a rescued llama, a cat and a dog...
The property has underground water that runs into a creek so we are unable to use any chemicals on the property which can sometimes be challenging but also makes you feel better about what you are raising being more natural.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
