I trapped him in the broody pen. Well, he trapped himself, goofy thing. All I did was shut the door. Then, DH said his crop was big and extra hard so we brought Mr. Idiot inside overnight with nothing but water to be sure it was just him being a pig, which it was. It was completely down by morning. He drove my dog (and DH) nuts crowing his not-so-great-yet crow all morning in my livingroom and now, is back out with the flock. I had a devil of a time getting him out of the rabbit cage; finally, had to gather his legs together, with him protesting, and squeeze him through the door. He never offered to even nip me, though, which was excellent and promising as far as temperament goes.
As much trouble as I've had lately finding homes for anyone, he may be here for quite awhile, and during that time, he may settle down anyway, so cross your fingers that Gideon's issue is just extra irritating "teenage buttheadery".
