Gift help PLEASE!

I've got a quick question that I need ya'll's help with. I'm trying to get a good radio/cd player for my mom, and it needs a really good radio signal, receptor, or however you say it. Point is, the radio needs to pick up a lot of stations. I have absolutely no idea what brand or model might be good. Does anybody here know kind of radio/cd player will have a good radio? We have nice stereo systems in the house for us grown ups. But both my kids have "boom boxes". That's what we called them when we were young. Just cheapys from Walmart. About $20.00-$50.00. Work great. Never had a problem.

I bought my mom one of the cheaper radios at Wal Mart last October. It was around $30. It has great reception. They have used it all over in their motorhome. I don't remember the brand but it was one of the cheaper models available.
