My hen layed the largest egg I've ever seen! she usally only lays small eggs! I have no idea if its fertile its see through but theres weird streaks in the egg and no air sac?? I can't take a picture due to the poor quality, but I took a picture of one of her regulars vs the gigantic one! its large, and I mean LARGE! its nearly larger than the palm of my hand!!
Also additional question, I'm collecting eggs for incubation as my others will be hatching in around a week, turns out every day my hen laid more she incubated 2 eggs! now 2 of them are looking like 3 day old embyros! what should I do?? should I store them for incubation or put them under a broody?? I also have no idea the age of the other eggs, should I take my chances with storing them or wait till the rest have hatched THEN collect eggs??

It could be a double yolk or it could have another egg inside the first one. I would not try to incubate it.

Maybe its and egg within an egg?

I just this week had an egg that was huge. Both of these eggs are from Wellsummer pullets. The 2nd picture is what I found when I opened it. Your egg may just have a double yolk but I wouldn't recommend trying to hatch it.

Double yolk. cracked it open, didn't look fertilized anyway strangely, considering the hen is favoured by my rooster. its a shame double yolks don't hatch, would be interesting! not that an egg that large would fit in my incubator anyway!
