Hello!!! Gil has had a lovely past couple of days and she is very happy to share about it! (or I guess I am) She is still laying an egg a day, in her little house.

Now for the update!!
Okay get ready guys, this is a big one with one HAPPY duck!
So we started out the day playing out front in the muddy puddles the snow left us with!
I tell her how cute she is at least 10 times a day, at lest!
Then, she ate some ice!
Right after this pic, she decided she was done being outside for the day. When I tell you guys she runs home, I mean it. I finally got the proof!

How much clearer could she make it, she likes to hang outdoors but she prefers her primadonna life style indoors!
Now for the excitement! The next day we took her out to the nature trail nearby. We let her walk behind us and she stopped to splash in puddles and eat ice but she didn't let us get too far ahead of her. Also, when we called her name she ran right over. No flying or running away, no running off to the creek or a mud puddle out of sight of us. There was no one else on the trails otherwise I wouldn't have let her free walk lol!
The trail is beautiful!
And here's what we all wanted to see!

There's a road Gil is unfamiliar with near the entrance so I carried her near there just so she didn't have the chance to run into the street.
That is one SMILEY duck! Look at the ice on her bill
I will probably get a harness and leash for her pretty soon but so far, she is so highly imprinted on us we have literally never had any type of issue.
Side note, we tried out puppy pads in the pen again because we still had a 50 pack. She didn't eat them this time so that was a positive but they're too hard to keep up with. I have to change them twice a day so I am going to try people pads because they're a lot bigger and absorb a lot more. We shall see!
I can't wait for the painters plastic to be replaced with the rubber flooring!!!!
Have a great evening/day my duck people!
