I have just hatched my first chicks, but one of the late hatchers is sitting a little to the side cheeps a lot, and doesn’t use one of its legs very well. The others are starting to pick on it and I’m not sure if I should let it stay in the brooding box, or if there is anything I can do? I am new to hatching, does anyone know if there is something I can do for the little gimper?

It’s dry, I looked up splayed legs and have made a splint for it and isolated it, hopefully that works. It is certainly loud enough

I’ve had it splinted all day and the chick just cheeps like it’s in distress. Someone suggested a chick chair, but I haven’t been successful keeping the chick in it yet. Also while I was trying to get it in the chair, I noticed that it’s gimpy leg won’t straighten. I feel like this is a problem, what do I do?
