kOops. . . I have missed some of your more recent posts. Ya know, I just am not hitting on all cylinders these days. Shew. Please forgive me. If I don't catch on to a post, please pm me. It is a very busy time of year for me, and I am outside, away from computers for much of the day.
Anyway, you can sometimes find it at health food stores, but you can make some by getting some comfrey (that is usually sold at health food stores, maybe in the bulk section). Add a handful of that to a cup of olive oil. Warm the oil for about a half an hour, on a very low setting on the stove. Don't try to boil it or cook it quickly, you just want to warm it. Setting it outside in a dark jar in the sun will do the same thing. Take it off the heat or out of the sun, let it sit overnight (about 12 hours, more is okay). Pour it through a strainer to get the leaves out. You can just use the oil on the hurt foot. If you want to make it into salve, rewarm the oil to about 100 degrees F, and add a few ounces of pure beeswax. Regular paraffin candle wax is not the right kind.
When it cools it will be creamy like an ointment.
If you know anyone who grows comfrey they might give you a few leaves. With fresh leaves, let it wilt in the sun for a day and then follow the directions above.
