Girl or Boy?

Have 4 3mo buff orps and one is odd. SHe's flighty, nervous and has a 90 degree up tailfeathers. She's got the disposition of a leghorn but the hatchery she's from doesn't carry buff orps. How can I tell if she's a rooster instead? Her comb is no different than the others. Hmm....

You have no idea what a help that is! I was about ready to find her a new home for fear she was a rooster....I'm not ready (nor are my neighbors) to deal w/ a 4AM wake up crow. What are Buff Minorcas like? Are they always flighty? DO hatcheries sometimes mess up the breeding when chicks are shipped?

Does she lay white eggs? I think I see white earlobes. Pretty bird.

Yup...she's a pill. She's names Elenour after a high strung past boss. I just read that Minorcas aren't great cold weather birds and are prone to comb frostbite. Think she'll do OK up in the northeast? Also, Minorcas are registered on the breed charts as rare to uncommon. Does this sound right?
