Girl or boy?!

Hi everyone! I have EE’s that are almost 11 weeks old. I was wondering if this white one is a rooster with those tail feathers? Also the black ones tail feathers are looking suspicious. I’m just confused because they don’t have a comb. Two of their hatch mates grew combs weeks ago and we gave them away. I’m so sad because this white one is my favorite.

I’m only seeing pullets. Tail shape doesn’t matter especially with mixed breeds like EE. Some breeds the hens will have more roostery looking tails compared to other breeds. It’s the saddle feathers that you want to look for.

Tail feathers mean nothing at that age. Both have smaller, pale combs. I think the white one bears watching, but my opinion now is that they're both pullets.

Pullets! Especially on the white EE, by almost three months you'd start to see the 'red shoulders' that many of the light EE roosters have. Agree with Jed that I'd keep an eye on her, but all signs point to pullet on both.

I've said it before, but I really love the black-and-white EEs as well. Pretty mutts!
