Oh now! Brown thumb, eh? Do they dry up? I might be able to talk you through it..... I know a cheap way to keep moisture in the soil in very dry climated is to actually talk a friend out of a clean disposable diaper or two, take out the stuffing and mix it in with the soil. Water the crap out of it, and use the plastic stuff from the diaper to cover the soil around the plant. Maybe some nice ucky TX soil to hold them in place. Use plastic containers, water lettuce, carrots, and onions every single day. Sprout them in shade under a tree, or inside on a table.
