Girls vs Girls

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks for the update!

Well, when is your goat due?? In midJan my Buttercup, who was supposed to be bred, appeard to go into heat. Took her back to breeder, and boy was interested but she wasn't very receptive. I've been thinking she's putting on a bit of weight, and yesterday I thought she looked preganent, definately sticking out sides. Felt under here and the old teats appear to be growing, which shouldn't happen until the last month and a half of pregnancy. I read up, and sometimes preg. does have a heat, but remain PG. Looks like she did that. She was bred late Nov. before I got ger early Dec. From that, she'd be due in mid-late April. I hope! Sure looks that way. I'll wait and watch for more udder developement.

Lol, yup
Any day now, really. She might be another week, or another day, not 100% sure though. ^^
Cool!! <3 Sass didn't get much udder till recent ^^

They are supposed to udder ought the last two weeks. Have you felt the tail ligaments to check for 24 hour to delivery? When you can almost touch finger to finger under her spine just before her tail, she'll deliver in about 24 (or less). Go check, that way you'll know the feeling when it changes. Check daily, to know when to be on baby watch. Got a delivery plan?

I have been, but I need to re-check how to do so. XD.
Nope, basically gonna wing it. What I'm thinking is
I'll move her to under the porch where there is like 3 feet of hay, and then yup. I need my mom to pick up the supplies though. We have essentially nothing. -,-

How cold are your nights? Newborns can freeze easy. Lots of hay/straw is good, is it out of the winds??

My plan at your age was basically the same thing, that and the vet (in the country) lived 1/2 mile away! Never needed help kidding though. My nubian used to always have triplets, but one always died at birth. I'd always just come out, and there they would be with mama. I'm guessing I'm gonna take my kids away after, and bottle feed them. It was usually kind of fun as a kid. Everything can become work.

Hi Kevin!
HI Cochin!

Hi Kevin!
HI Cochin!
Its been REALLY warm, but still cold. Since its been so warm (like 30!) we've been keeping the goat, chicken and pigeon pen open so they can 'free range', but I'm confident that she'll choose the porch to give birth under, since its a giant nest and they sleep there, and they'd be warm there.

Cool, sad about the dead babies though. The doe(s) will be bottle raised, whereas any bucklings will stay with momma ^^

Hi!!! Hi kevin!!!! <33

So, I'm going to be in Texas this weekend, and I see that they are expecting sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s. (wow) and only like 55 at night. (double wow)

We're gonna have to dig out some shorts!

Kevin, where are you?

Cochin, glad your here, and yes, I bet she has them under the porch too.
