Girls vs Girls

Thats awesome! STILL up? LOL Sounds like my Cochin all right. It is a good name, I don't know why they care what you name your goat anyway. You just gotta wonder about them. Obviously you are the creative mind.

We're zelling 2 of our roosters, I wouldprefer to keep Gryphon since he would be good to cross with say a RJF hen, but of course, my sister who doesnt even take CARE of them wants to keep Danny the one pulling out the chicken's' faces feathers....grrrr....I dont get why she even gets a SAY, but my parents seem to think she does.. URG!!

Hey... Want a pretty partridge rooster cochin? LOL

Nah, I have too many chickens now! I'd have more, but the stupid things hatched about the time my dad died, and I didn't care for them quite as well as I ought to have. Now I'm back to ok, but I'll still never get my poor blue belgian quail d'anvers this year now. Or my Black copper marans.

My own fault, I killed them.

So, your sister doens't even help take care of them? I think I'd kick her chicken over the fence, since she wouldn't notice anyway. As a mom, I would SO not let her have any say, if she's not seeing to her responsibilities anyway. I'd just be like, sorry.

Oh and Chic Can gave me a good idea-

One day while making dinner, oversalt their portions, and just say "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought since you hated the name Sassafrass, you'd want some extra salt" LOL
I love the name. Sassafrass is perfect for a goat.

I think the salt over dinner my not work as planned though. LOL

Lol, well Danny has one of his comb parts (like the pointy part... i feel dumb... LOL) clipped off by WHO KNOWS WHAT!! Urg. But its scabbed over and looks fine, so he'll just look kinda weird.

Ya, I'll admit my mom lets them out since I sleep in too late (but not tonight!) but my sisters always like (to my mom), "Yeah I checked on them" , and I'll say the same thing, but I'll have ACTUALLY checked on them, made sure the goats got some salt lick, check for eggs, feed the goats grain, and if I want hold a chicken. What doe my sister do? Go lookif they have water (MAYBE) and then say she checked on them!

(i LOVE that smiley LOL) So I'm just gonna be like, "oh, did i put partridge cochin in the ad and give them Danny? I'm sorry, I meant Gryphon and meant to put OEGB, oh well"

We have three roostres, and the white California leghorn has a good traditional rooster crow. The big rooster with the sex links hens doesn't crow a peep. The bantem barred rock sounds like he's dying too. Bad crower. Its almost enought o make you want to bring out you-tube and let them hear some good crows, and maybe get inspired a bit!

You should tell your mom she's not doing it. Offer to prove it by you NOT doing any feeding or watering that day, have your mom go check early so she knows where it stands in the feeder/waterer, and then wait. later, when she asks your sister if she checked them and she says "yes" have your mom go check. Truth is self evident.

Or - he he he - I love this one (evil laugh) have your mom put a note on the feeder and the waterer that says "if you actually have cared for the chickens, bring me this note". Later when she asks, there won't be a note involved, and mom will know for sure. IN fact, when my sis did this crap too me, it took her 8 days to find the note. She lost her bird privilages on the spot, for lying all week.

Why are all big sisters competely lazy???

Well my big sister is a lyer i guess, i dunno, LOL!
I like the note idea, I'll go stick it out the waterer, like, right now, it saying "Hey mom, I have an experiment. Leave this note here. Mak, if you find this note, AKA, if you check on the chickens, why not go ahead and bring it in to prove it!"

Well Danny is like 4 months in all fairness.

Listen to HIM! Hes a long crowers, sounds awful yet awesome at the same time -->LONG CROWER

Put down the note >:) Appearantly the crowing was Gyrphon - he sounded fine, but when disorted so bad. ugh....

Let them out too to shut him up. I duno if it worked, but Im just happy my parents are sleeping in so that I can go out there when at say 7, and they wont be there
