Girls vs Girls

Oh. So what new girls?

Don't forget, I'm getting off at 9:30 sharp tomorrow night, cause I gotta get up and hit the road by 6:30 at the latest, but probably 6 am Saturday morning.

My uncles from Kansas City (the big town 2 hours away) came down and my uncle Roger (lieutenant colonial) gave me a great hour long lesson on both of my guns, then we went shopping and got gun stuff I'd need, and talked about bullets and shells and grains and sizes and etc.

I feel very much smarter now.

Something about holding a gun makes one feel powerful. Now, I've only shot 22s and smaller, so it'll be fun to shoot all these other guns for the first time on saturday. Rifle, handguns, shotgun, muzzle loader, and archery. Sound like a good time? DH better not piss me off, I've got bullets and I know how to use them! (uh, just kidding about using them though)

That sounds like so much fun!!!
It was actually pretty cool. They are both in their mid 70s. I felt privilaged though to have an very knowledgeable high ranking army officer give me training. He's also thinking about coming deer hunting with me this fall. He's never actually hunted deer (he prefers elk meat) but I think it would be fun.

That sounds like a great bonding activity!

When your shooting arrows depsite what your eye says, keep both eyes open unless stated otherwise by your uncle. That and be careful where your elbow is, it hurts when the string hits you

I mean, I never got hit, but other peoples elbows were purple they hurt so bad (I took a archery class once and I need to get licensed or what the crap so I can hunt by bow, however, I've learned blow dart guns are fun, lol)
