The white africans are astoundingly beautiful in person. They are the new leaders of the pack. They also have a stonger opinion. They are louder than anyone, but they don't talk constanly like the chinese would. Thats good.

They are something special. I've never even heard of them before they needed rescued desperately. Iain was looking for a perfect home for them. I was it.

I don't think they'll be going to my moms house. They are too rare and special to leave my place. They'd be wasted on the farm. Mom wouldn't even sell their eggs on ebay. She'd eat them, or ignore them.

She doesn't allow anymore breeding in her flocks. Watch geese only. shes allready got 4 chinese, she doesn't need these guys. I do!! I've never seen anything like them either. They are very tall and stately. Like an african king or queen. Super smooth feathers, looks like long legs after hanging out with all of these dewlap toulouse.

Beautiful. Maybe hatch some geese and offer a tradey? Would she take that? Or perhaps ask for the eggs (assuming they are breeding fertile eggs)

Sounds like they'd have the best breeding home with you. Plus knowing Chinese Geese I'm sure they have watch dog patrol all under control LOL

Well, Iain shipped the geese to me, and I told mom she might get them, but with Iain I researved the right to fall and love and keep them.

I'm keeping them. However, I'll hatch my mom some eggs if she wants some. They are just too rare a treasure to be where coyotes, bobcats, and mountain lions will pick them off.

(edited to add....) Oh yeah, moms geese are plenty loud. If she wants more of that, she should let the chinese hatch their own.

Chinese geese are the only geese mom has had luck with now that they are in the woods. (yes, there are woods in Kansas, the maris des cygnes valley....Valley of the Swans.) She just has more preditors there. The embdeens got picked up a decade ago. The chinese lived until they died of old age. Their replacements are a few monthes old now. I don't know if they are too loud for the preditors, or too aggressive. Either way, it works for them.

I honestly think that they are probably THE survival breed. They are just loud mean and ready to die to protect the flock. If I ever lived in the middle of nowhere they would be the free range breed I would pick.
