I hope so!

I'm gonna head out around 10 to take the dogs out, take a shower, then finally get some sleep.

COCHIN!

Tell me everything you know about mini nubians vs pygmy goats for milking? I've never had a mini or pygmy anything. I want a half pint milk goat that eats little, and gives about a quart a day. :D I can milk in about 5 minutes then.

Well 2 things
1) I LOVE nubians, but know nothing about mini nubians
2) Pygmies are meat goats, Nigerian dwarves are milk goats, can give about half a gallon I tink,

So if you get ND's you wan to make sure your looking for dairy, otherwise you might get pet quality. If you get mini nubians ASK what the dad was.. If it was a pygmy, back away, if a ND, I'd get. Remember to look at moms / sisters / aunts udders if possible, and the attatchments and such. You know what to look for when buying a goat, right, or need a refresher / don't know? If you want a goat that eats a little ask how the parents are being raised. If they're mostly pasture raised with hay and virtually no (or little) grain, heads up. Make sure to back away from any goat with bad foot and worming history (even if its dad and mom, still back away)

You getting goats? Are you going to be able to pasture them? Tell me EVERYTHING, LMAO

Ok, so i've been after DH forEVER now that we need a milk goat (better two, as they get lonely). I've remeinded him how expensive milk, butter, cheese, and ice cream are. Reminded him I milked goats forever. Reminded him we've still got 3/4 of an acre unused out back.

He's slowly coming around. Actually, he was slow to argue, but came around fast!

Glad you cleared up the pygmy vs Nig. Dwarf thing, those are what I need I guess. I just don't want to be milking with two fingers, so I'll definatley have a look at faucets. I'm also going to try to get from a good milker line. I also won't be buying any young goats that have never been milked. Let somebody else stretch those faucets first. In fact, I found a mini nubain here in KS, that has had and nursed one baby allready. She might have faucets ready for business. The LaMancha I used to have came from star milker lines.
