Girls vs Girls

It can't really be much worse. Hers often give 3 qts a day or more. I'd be happy with 1 qt a day. However, I will buy the best I can afford. If I'm going to have to breed them for milk anyway, it may as well be worth it. It takes 2 gallons to make 2 lb of cheese. Hers produce 700 lbs a year. (1 pint = 1 lb)

That sounds like it will be a much better fit for your situation. The other one is gorgeous but she's just not gonna cut it.

I agree. She is very pretty, like you said, a calico with blue eyes. And, registered in 3 registries, so I should be able to sell her for what I paid, anyway. If she'll just keep giving me 12 oz a day for then next few monthes, that would be good. If she doesn't, then she'll definately be going the instant I get her replacement.

You should certainly be able to get what you paid for her. Maybe she'll do better in a breeding home.

Well, that'll work. We'll just drive up, hang out with you for a day (don't you love amigas that invite themselves?) and then the next day drive over and get the goat, and head home. I'd guess the last week of May......
