Girls vs Girls

Thanks! Yup. We have ocean all around us. Head in any direction, and you can get to water in 45 minutes at the most. LOL.
That sounds like it would be heavenly in full summer and the fall. I've never gotten quite so far East, at least, not East and North. I've seen the ocean from many places on many coastal areas though. The Cape is on my life list, so if I can remain vertical awhile longer, I'll get there. Whats your favorite part of your area?

Here in Kansas its wide open spaces, and the clusters of trees are valued so highly that we only very rarely remove trees, unless they grow on the fenceline or in the garden. The wildlife (turkeys, deer, etc) are pretty cool, and the grasses that are native are up to the top of my head now. :D I can see waves for miles, but no water. (the grass heads wave in the breeze, and really do remind you of ocean waves on a calmer day).

Well, let me put it in pros and cons. 'cause there's lots of stuff about the cape.

Pros: LOTS of nice beaches, nice resteraunts, beautiful lighthouses, a really cool tower that you can climb into and go up to the top and look out, hardly rains in the summer, yet it rains enough to keep everything green and beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

Cons: In the summer, you can hardly go anywhere because there are lots of tourists. In Fall, there are so many pine trees that the leaves hardly change. One day it'll be 70 degrees, the next it'll be 40.

And my favorite con? The sun's in the wrong place. It actually moves south. In the summer, the sunshine comes in through our east facing windows. In the fall, it comes through our south facing windows. It still rises in the east and sets in the west, though. It just does it farther south. LOL.

My favorite part of my area would be the fact that there are quite a few farms near us. We have lots of amazing things here. Including all sorts of gift stores that have cape cod themed things.

I so want to go to Kansas. I can't stand all the trees, to be honest. Here, we remove trees just because they're trees. LOL
