Hi

I had some lovely replies before and just wondered if we're still thinking girls for the yellow ones? No one else is crowing yet like the white boy.

Thanks

How cute are they!
I'd say a definite pullet for the lighter headed one, probably but not 100 % sure for the darker one, her pom-pom is a bit scruffier and not perfectly round...

I don't really know what to look for. I had some before and all 4 were boys. I keep wondering about the darker one that's why i thought I'd ask again now they've got bigger.

I'm no expert, but I looked into the breed when I got my first lot of pullets, got one that was supposed to be a frizzled pullet that started crowing two days later.
The salesguy took him back with no question since he had doubted himself, and told me that pullets have perfect rounded hoods, like a perfect little pom-pom, whereas the roos hoods are more scruffy/spiky/back-combed.

Another thing that has me doubting on the darker one is the saddle feathers on your first pic that look pointy and droopy like roosters get.
Maybe posting more specific individual pics of hopefully-her could help?

Here they are now at 16 weeks (on Wednesday) still no crowing and no wattles

Can you get better pics of the saddle feathers? Something on the back of the one with the white spot in the pompom looks iffy.
Still perfect rounded poms and no wattles though...

The first and last photo are the one with the white head and the middle pic is the other one. They are permanently together- not showing any signs of trying anything with my other 2 girls and are the ones that are at the bottom of the pecking order. They have their legs pecked occasionally now and don't peck back just run off.
