Yes, I let them sit for 24 hrs. My elevation (220) isn't much higher than Florida's. I think it was the distance across country, the 3 extra days it took USPS to deliver, and the general condition of the eggs themselves (as if the hens laid their eggs where they slept), that made the difference. Perhaps if they had gotten here in two days like they were supposed to it would have worked better. Who knows. I should have ordered them from a closer source, but couldn't find the exact birds I wanted close by. Most of the air cells were detached, including the one that hatched. Even in excellent packaging, I just think they were jostled too much by USPS. They (USPS) say don't ship it if you can't toss it 20 feet without breaking it.
