Give me everything you know about bob whites! Incubation and all!!

Bobs are feistier than cots in general, and often fight more. Many people keep bobs in larger areas, or in single pairs in a pen. Bobs often need a permit in the US as they are a native species in many states. Cots are an exempt species in my state, NJ, and many others, but Bobs carry a hefty fine if you get caught without a permit.

I only need a game bird hobby permit I believe. still reading. i will not order them if I need a huge permit thing. I just raise them in my backyard with my coturnix.

Yes, I read that earlier. But why do they?
Bobwhite are naturally very territorial. They may not attack coturnix if they have a large aviary space, but keeping them together is never recommended. They will definitely attack other bobwhite if not kept in pairs during the breeding season. From what I’ve read, female bobs pick their mate and can be choosy.
