So I recently bought a small flock of coturnix 4 hens and a male, plus I was given another male and 10 fertile eggs. What should I do with the eggs, I don't have an incubator. But I do have a digital temperature controller that can be plugged into anything. I was using with a fridge and heating belt for beer fermentation but can plug in such things as heat lamps or heating pads into it. In the meantime I put the eggs in a makeshift nest I made for them in the hope that one might go broody, I know it's really rare though but this might encourage it. Plus it will keep the eggs warm since it's extremely hot outside.

Also the male I was given has a large lump on top of his beak, looks kinda like the shape of a crooked witches nose. What is wrong with it, was I given a cull?

well from what I know coturnix quail dont go broody, that "know how" has been breed out of them so they wont sit on the eggs to hatch them. You either have to put the eggs in an incubator, or they will just go rotten... 99.9 degrees is the temp you need to hatch them... then you need humidity too... so just under a light probably wont work.
