Given wrong chick? Need 2nd set of eyes...

For sure not a Barnie, she’s got the wrong coloring. I would bet she’s a mix, maybe an Easter Egger. Does she have feathers on her legs?

She does have a little bit of feathering on her legs. If she ends up being mixed, I wonder if they had a rooster accident. (The person I got her from specifically breeds Ayam Cemanis, Zombies, Barnevelders and Seramas. The only mix they sometimes offer is Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte/AC and those chicks look very different.)

I can see her being part Serama, but none of the other breeds would really fit...one of them would have to have feathered legs.

I finally reached out to the breeder with recent photos and a video and she believes it to be a Serama. They are 12 weeks old now, and she is still tiny. I found pictures of similarly aged Serama pullets online, and she looks just like them with different coloring.

But how would a Serama egg be in the incubator without that detail being obvious? They are tiny! I think your chick could have a Serama father but I still wonder about the feathers on the legs. Do they offer silkied zombies?

I can't know for sure, but I suspect the chick was from a Serama hatching almost a week prior. There were pictures of the chicks from that hatching, and she looks like one of those chicks. I noticed a couple of things when I picked them up - she was half the size of the 2-day old Zombie and kept ducking under her, she didn't have the fearlessness of a day-old/2-day old chick, and she seemed to have her wing feathers already. The breeder wasn't feeling well that day and someone else did the pickup and possibly the prep.

No silkied Zombies as far as I know.

Pictures attached. The bad lighting in my photos makes the colors look darker, but the coloring is consistent.
