Giving Dogfood to Chickens?

I have a question, sometimes my picky Yorkie won't eat his "Little Ceasar Dog Food" (small tray of wet dog food), if it sits a little too long he won't eat it. Is it ok to give it to the chickens? All girls are laying now, and it wouldn't be too often. Will it effect the egg's taste? Thanks for responses in advance.

No, it shouldn't affect the taste any at all.

I wouldn't hesitate to feed it to mine. For a treat, or to get everybody back in the pen, I toss mine that semi-moist, looks-like-hamburger dog food. They love it!

It has been posted that dog food is high in salt, which is not good for chickens. I don't know if it is true, and I'm sure different dog foods have different amounts. I would think a little would not hurt them.
