Hey guys so I went out last night and bought the vit b complex and nutritional yeast for my ducklings. I cannot for the life of me get them to take the liquid by mouth. I sat their for an hour last night and again this morning and they just fight and fight. Im scared to force it more because I do not want them to aspirate it. So I put 500 ml in their water every time they drink it and heavily sprinkle the food with the yeast to make sure they are getting enough. Is there an easy way to make them take it buy mouth or should adding it to the water work. The only thing is they waste half of it so its not gonna last long. Would it be easier and more economical to get the 500mg niacin tablets and add a half of pill to a 1 gallon water? Thanks!

How old are your ducklings? What breeds? What are you currently feeding including treats and supplements other than specified above? Anyone showing issues already?

If you have access to Purina flock raiser... it has the correct amount of niacin for duckling at 55 mg/kg. It is not on the guaranteed analysis tag but I contacted the company. I did not need to supplement mine beyond this, but I know some individual may actually require extra.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, I'm also here to learn. I'm sure answers to my questions may have some relevance and make easier for others to give more precise answer.. :fl

Same thing happened to me and I was just beside myself because I couldn't get them to take it in an eye dropper. I got more on me than I did in their mouth.

So I gave up and just put in it their food. I took a small amount of food in a little bowl and put enough B liquid in that food for all 6 of them even though all of them didn't need it. Then I mixed that small amount up really good and spread it on top of the food in their food bucket. Apparently it worked! All is well now and no more problems.

I feed flock raiser to them. I have a pekin, a roune or mallard, a blue Swedish, a khaki Campbell, and then a new Rouen or mallard that I took form a friend who has leg issues. My pekins legs seem to be bowing and tripping over his feet more then others, and the one I got from a friends leg is twisting. We both feed flock raiser and I gave brewers yeast. I don't think enough because I noticed my blue Swedish stomping rather then running so seems he is having issues too. They do not get any treat or supplements other then what I just started. But im worried the way they waist so much water they wont get enough b complex. they are about a month old

They seem to be developing leg issues all but the khaki campell

Ya I was wearing enough that I will not have leg issues! That's what I was doing. putting it in water and on food

If they are having leg issues like shaky legs and lameness then use the liquid b complex that’s the best for problems.
Thank you for your help. Only after two days it seems like it is working. They all seem to be doing 10x better. My pekin has only slightly improved but i feel his will take longer. Hes not getting worse though! I was kind of overdoing it because i did not read the label right and im already almost out. But i guees its better to have over done it then underdone it. Im out to get another bottle tomorrow and some peas!
