So after 10 years of absence from the chicken raising seen and almost 20 years since I first hatched an egg(chinese black silkie) out of one of those little three egg dome bators, I am throwing my hat into the hobby of raising chickens again. After convincing my wife that it would be fun to have the fluffy friends around the hobby has quickly turned into an obsession. Working my way passed week two of turning eggs, I am eagerly awaiting my first hatch.
I wanted to first say thanks to everyone who has posted over the past few years, which has both amused and informed me of the do's and don'ts of all that is backyard chickening. I look forward to being an involved member of the community.
