When giving chicken medicine by syringe how do you know if it's gone down the right way? What's the correct way of doing it? Very worried it could go in lung...is this possible?

You can actually insert a tube if you have to give them a lot. Or, I usually use a syringe and just do a very little amount at a time into their mouth, not forced down their throat - then I let them swallow and repeat.

I dribble it alongside the beak (on the side) with a syringe and as a drop forms there they drink it down. Yes don't squirt liquids into the mouth cavity itself or they can aspirate and fall over dead immediately (for real).

P.S. I think ChickensRDinos and I are saying the same thing but saying it differently lol.
