Giving White Willow Bark tincture to chicken for pain

Hello all!

I have a hen that lost her beak and I'm wondering if I can give her white willow bark for pain. Anyone do this before?

I'm not an herbalist (?) so hopefully someone else will chime in. Personally I don't think there would be a problem if you can figure out the proper dosage. You can give chickens aspirin at the rate of 81mg per quart of water if that helps

Now...may I ask, how she lost her beak?

I’ve never heard of giving that, but I’m curious too I have a pullet who lost a good portion of her beak last week. She’s doing okay and doesn’t seem to be in too much pain unless I’m cleaning it. My girl is able to eat wet feed out of a bowl now fortunately that syringe feeding was really hard on her.
