Granny's gone and done it again

Howdys all, Just a couple drops of blood . Hardly anything today.
Granny. Call. The. Doctor. Talk. To. The. Nurse.

Sweet lady you give me the peedoodles.

Okay, it works like this. It's called C.Y.A cover your a**. If you call the nurse and report the incident to her and ask her if the doctor should check it, it becomes their problem and not yours. You have called and reported it. That way when you see the doc and he asks you if you've had any bleeding or drainage from your incision you can report yes, but I called and reported it to the nurse.

It's good that the bleeding has reduced but please report the incident......just incase.

I haven't been to the fair in about 20 years. That was back in central Illinois and the Heart of Illinois Fair.

Always enjoyed the state fair in IL especially the Society Horse Show and the Western Barrel Racing competition.

Would love to go to the Missouri State Fair which was last week but Sedalia is just too far from home. Over 140 miles one way. Sigh. Must be getting old. Used to be wouldn't hesitate to hop in the car with the words Car Trip! echoing behind me. Now just happy to get the dished done and the chickens cared for. And everyone fed....

Neighbors came to pick peaches. Bought 3 boxes. Filled them, two more big boxes I gave them and now starting on cat litter buckets that I gave them. They brought us 6 jars of jam and a jar of peaches from the Albertas they picked 2 weeks ago and the mom said that she is going to send the boys up later to mow the lawn for us.

Good people that restore my faith in humankind.

C.Y.A. is the second rule of nursing. The first is "if it's wet, sticky and not yours don't touch it without gloves on!"
Doctor can't do anything about a problem if he doesn't know about it and it will give Granny peace of mind to know the bleeding is not a problem.

Rule one where I worked in the nursing/rehab facility was the C.Y.A. Rule followed by 'If in doubt, ship them out'. If we even vaguely suspected somebody was having a change in status, physically or mentally they were off to the hospital.

The corporate mentality caused the CYA rule to rank first
