I’m relatively new, but I would guess pullet.

Also watch for cockerel behavior. Despite my newbie status, I was able to identify a chick as a cockerel at just three weeks. His comb was growing faster than the others, he was becoming aggressive (but that can also happen with hens in small flocks when establishing pecking order), and he started straining his neck like he wanted to crow. This can also be yawning and other behavior, but in his case he did try and make a small squeak when he did it. Of course not all cockerels will be as obvious as my little Joey was, but it’s worth looking out for. I was able to confirm at around 8 weeks, and he got rehomed.

What was it?
Ended up being a pullet! She’s a beauty.
We have had some egg issues with her where they are constantly thin-shelled.
Since she’s on the same diet as the other girls and they don’t have thin shells, I can only assume it’s a genetic defect. She came from Hoover’s Hatchery.
