Hello everyone, My name is Amanda, I live in good ole Ohio My husband and I are the proud owners of 5 Rhode Island Reds, 3 Silver Laced Wyndottes and 2 bronze turkeys (we think they are hens) One day I just got this idea in my head that I wanted chickens. I've been a city girl for 23 years, so I knew nothing about poultry, and to be honest I was afraid of picking them up for the first month, Next thing I knew a coworker gave us 5. After I got them I thought 5, thats it....so I got 3 more. A friend of ours has a pet turkey that acts like a dog, so the avid outdoorists that we are decided we need turkey too, so we got 2. which I am regreating now. So I am soooo glad to have found this site to help with the obastacles that come with our 2 legged friends..Cant wait to explore and learn.
