Anyway, I wanted to get your opinion on my youngest injured chick. She had been squashed by her shipping mates when she was sent to our local feed store on Monday. I got her on Tuesday. The gal at the store said that she was surprised the chick made it through the night. Basically, it is the one I've been posting about with the balance issues. I gave her electrolyte/vitamin/water all day yesterday and she improved a bit today. She could hold her balance better. I got some parrot formula at the store today thinking that something a little more substantial would give her even more energy along with the water solution. I gave this to her every time she started peeping this afternoon. She puts her head back when I try to feed her (similar to how they drink) but occassionally she'll go to far and fall over. Also, I don't know if she's eating or drinking from the regular food containers at all. I've shown her several times where they are and she soesn't seem interested at all. Maybe, it's because I've been hand feeding her and she's spoiled but I'm not sure. She also had an eye injury during the squashing incident. That seems more or less fine. I just have to put water over the lid every couple of hours to "unglue" it from itself. I'm not sure if she can see from it or not but I'm leaning towards that she can. So, to sum all this up: I'm asking your opinion on the situation. Should I give her more time and see if she recovers more or go ahead and cull her?
